Overview
Otterbein has an employment opportunity for a Full Time Staff Scheduler / Medical Records Technician . This individual is responsible for preparing and maintaining the working schedule for the nurses and nurse assistants to ensure regulatory compliance and Otterbein standards.
This individual assures that a complete medical records program is maintained for residents, the community, and the physicians.
Responsibilities
Collects, assembles, checks, codes, and files resident charts and records according to established procedure.
Responsible for proper storage and filing of medical records by assuring that work / assignment areas are clean and records, files, etc.
are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of work day, etc.
Responsible for period auditing of all current residents charts and reporting problems.
Qualifications
Education : High School Graduate required; Advanced degree preferred.
Experience : Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows. Previous experience in Medical Scheduling in long term care preferred.
